Actual laptop battery run-time depends upon the power demands made by the HP Business Notebook NC 4400 laptop�s components. The monitor, the hard drive and other accessories result in extra drain upon the battery, effectively reducing its run-time. The total run- time of the battery is also dependent upon the design of the laptop and all hardware plugged into the USB ports. There are many different ways of testing a MSI Laptop Battery. If you look around online you will see that many different people test their batteries in many different ways. However, either way you choose to test your MSI Laptop Battery, you want to have something running. Many people think that they can just turn on the laptop and let it sit there. Then after a hour or so they come back and see if the laptop is still on. This is not testing your laptop battery. You have to have MSI notebook running something, and it helps if it�s using the CD-ROM drive as well. The more things that it has going on it at once will let you see if the laptop can hold a charge. After testing the laptop you will be able to make a good choice on whether you would like to keep the battery that you have or if you are going to need a new one. Please keep in mind if you buy a new laptop you should aways fully charge the battery first before using the notebook. Otherwise you could damage the laptop battery.

In case you do not want to look all over the internet for a way to test your laptop batteries, then you can run this test on your MSI Laptop Battery. Get a music CD, and put it into the laptop. Let the laptop play this CD for about an hour. To really see how good your battery is, make sure that your screen saver will not come up for about an hour as well, and have the music effects playing on the screen. After an hour of playing a music CD your laptop should have only lost about 30% of its charge. Now if it has lost more than that, your battery may be going bad. If the laptop is powered down when you find it, that means your battery is bad. If your battery is bad, it may be holding a little charge right now, but soon it will no longer hold a charge at all.
